6. Does ventilation need to be commissioned by a qualified installer?
Domestic ventilation became notifiable work on the 1st of October 2010 as part of the 2010 revision to Approved Document F of the Building Regulations.
This means that ventilation provision in new homes must be commissioned by a suitably qualified installer.
