Criteria for appliance selection

Our on-line specification planner provides a bespoke duct system to match the chosen Polypipe appliance.

Calculations are based on:

  • Performance requirements of Polypipe Ventilation's, Energy Saving Trust approved appliances, as listed in the SAP Appendix Q database, Approved Document F of the Building Regulations or Building (Scotland) Regulations 2010
  • The house data you input into the planner software

Criteria for duct system selection

Using the information provided on the property and the selected ventilation technology:

  • A ventilation system is specified to match the data entered into the planner software, for the number of inhabitants, rooms,
    room sizes and type of property as well as the installation and termination location of the appliance, based on current building practice
  • Our duct systems are designed to provide a complete solution for most properties. In some instances additional components may be required from the extensive Domus range
  • Additional accessories such as integrated fire stopping and sound attenuation components can be added to your order, once a system has been specified

General Guidance

Whilst every effort is taken to ensure that the information provided is both up to date and accurate, it is the responsibility of the installer to check that both the duct system and appliance are suitable.

The data for the on-line planner is updated on a regular basis to ensure that the best possible recommendation is always made.
